Ever fancied trying life drawing but worried you wouldn't know where to start?
Perhaps you've never picked up a pencil for anything more ambitious than writing a shopping list. Perhaps you're an experienced artist looking for a relaxed place to draw. Or perhaps you're simply curious about combining naturism with creativity.
Our Naturist Life Drawing sessions are designed to be relaxed, welcoming and accessible to everyone — no artistic experience required.
Based at our private studio in Grimsby, Lincolnshire, these sessions offer the opportunity to spend time drawing from experienced nude models in a comfortable, friendly and respectful environment.
And yes — you get to take your artwork home with you.
What is naturist life drawing?
Life drawing is the practice of drawing the human figure from a live model.
Our sessions combine traditional life drawing with the relaxed, body-positive environment of naturism.
The emphasis is on creativity, observation and enjoying the experience, rather than producing a perfect piece of artwork.
You don't need to be able to draw.
You don't need to know anything about anatomy.
You don't need an expensive sketchbook or a collection of fancy art supplies.
You simply need to come along, have a go and enjoy yourself.
Completely beginner friendly
Never tried life drawing before?
That's absolutely fine.
Our sessions are suitable for complete beginners as well as people who already enjoy drawing.
You'll be able to experiment with different techniques, practise observing proportion and shape, and simply enjoy putting pencil to paper.
There is no competition, no judgement and no expectation that your drawing needs to look like something hanging in the National Gallery.
It's about having a go.
You might surprise yourself.
Everything is provided
We've got the art supplies covered.
Your session includes:
Paper
Pencils
Charcoal
Drawing materials
Tea
Coffee
Biscuits
All you need to bring is yourself.
Of course, if you have your favourite drawing materials and want to bring them along, you're welcome to do so.
Experienced nude models
Our sessions feature experienced nude life drawing models who are comfortable working with artists and understand how to pose for life drawing.
You'll have the opportunity to work from a variety of poses throughout the session, allowing you to explore different positions, shapes and techniques.
The sessions are artistic and respectful, with the focus firmly on life drawing and creativity.
Clothing optional
Naturism is about choice and that means you are never under any pressure to get naked.
Our life drawing sessions are clothing optional.
If you would like to enjoy the session nude, you can.
If you'd rather remain dressed, you can.
If you're completely new to naturism and aren't sure how you'll feel, that's okay too.
There is absolutely no expectation that you have to bare all simply because you're attending a naturist event.
You decide what you're comfortable with.
A private studio environment
Our sessions take place in our private photography and creative studio in Grimsby.
The studio provides a comfortable, enclosed environment where you can relax, get creative and enjoy the experience without the pressures of a public venue.
We keep the atmosphere friendly, informal and welcoming.
Come on your own, come with a friend or come along as part of a naturist group.
Take your artwork home
One of the best things about life drawing is leaving with something you've created yourself.
At the end of the session, your drawings are yours to take home.
They don't have to be perfect.
They don't even have to be finished.
They're your artwork and a record of your experience.
And who knows — you might discover a hidden artistic talent along the way!

You don't have to consider yourself an artist.

Private naturist group bookings
We also welcome private bookings from established naturist groups and communities.

Walking into a room full of people drawing a naked person for the first time might sound slightly terrifying!
But once you've settled in, picked up a pencil and realised nobody is judging your artistic ability, it becomes a surprisingly relaxing and enjoyable experience.
You don't have to be "good at art".
You don't have to be confident.
You don't have to get naked.
You don't have to know what you're doing.
Just come along, have a go and see what you create.
